INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION JOB SHADOWING – St. Clair College

St. Clair College is inviting local employers to join us to offer formalized Job Shadowing opportunities for our students in the Electronics Engineering Technology – Industrial Automation program.


Job Shadowing provides an opportunity to promote job opportunities to students and consider potential hires, while offering students a chance to utilize new skills and training. Job Shadowing positions are unpaid and range from 20-37 hours in total during the semester. Upon approval, WSIB for
student trainees is paid by the Government of Ontario, through the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU).
HOW IT WORKS:St. Clair College Career Services and program faculty will coordinate resumes for interview selection and assist with determining a schedule that meets the needs of the employer and students.Participating students will have skills in PLC Programming (Rockwell and Siemens), Shop Safety, Electronic Fabrication, Basic Motor Control, ACAD Electrical, Embedded Controller Programming, and Using Data Acquisition Software.Once a student is chosen, Career Services can assist with determining a schedule that meets the needs of the employer and students.
