The Conference Board of Canada in partnership with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) are examining the management of plastic waste by businesses and institutions. Data on plastic waste generation and its management in this segment of the economy, is scarce and this research is important. Businesses and institutions generate the majority of plastic waste in Canada. Without improved data, Canada’s transition to a circular plastics economy will be challenged.
