When it comes to Ontario’s industrial future, the Windsor area will have a strong voice on a new advisory body created by the province to advise government on how to improve the long-term competitiveness and resilience of the industrial sector.

Two representatives on Ontario’s newly created Advanced Manufacturing Council that will be tasked with helping the provincial government craft policy are from the Windsor area.

Among those named to the 10-person Advanced Manufacturing Council tasked with helping the provincial government craft policy are Peter Frise, the University of Windsor engineering faculty’s associate dean for professional programs, and Unifor Local 444 president Dave Cassidy.

“This week, our government was thrilled to announce our new Advanced Manufacturing Council, which will help boost the long‐term competitiveness and resilience of the manufacturing sector,” said Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli.
